Steve Carrodus
Director
Steve has been in the pensions industry for over thirty-seven years. He spent much of this time in a consulting role, after an initial spell working in pensions administration. He has advised medium sized pension funds on all areas from setting up to wind up, with the emphasis on solving technical problem issues. This has involved working closely with actuaries, investment consultants and pensions lawyers. For the last few years he has concentrated on trusteeship.
Steve has experience of management, having been involved in the formation of a new consultancy in the 1980's and later heading up a regional office for one consulting firm for over ten years. He is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute and served for four years on the Institute's Council, during which time he was a member of a number of the Institute committees.
Steve is now a director of Pitmans Trustees Ltd, acting as the PTL representative on the trustee board of a number of pension schemes.
Walking is one of Steve’s favourite pastimes. He likes to walk in the Surrey countryside most weekends, and in 2009 took part in the 3 peaks challenge, walking up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon non-stop (apart from the driving). Whilst some groups aim to complete this challenge in 24 hours, Steve describes his journey as more of a “sedate 32 hour trek!”
