David Hosford

Director of Pitmans Trustees Ltd

David has been acting as an independent trustee since 1995 and through his directorship of Pitmans Trustees Limited since 2001. He is a Solicitor and heads up the Pensions department at Pitmans LLP.

 

He has a good understanding of investment issues and served on the Association of Pension Lawyers’ Investment sub committee between 2001 and 2004.  His position as an equity partner in Pitmans LLP helps understanding of the employer’s position.

 

David’s current trustee appointments cover a wide variety of situations, including hybrid schemes with DB and DC sections, schemes closed to further accrual, schemes where PTL are sole trustee, schemes where David acts as Chairman of Trustees, and FAS and PPF cases. 

 

David qualified as an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute in 1998 and has been a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers since 1995, and the Independent Trustee Group since its inception in 2005. He is married with two children and lives in Bristol. David enjoys travel, windsurfing and most ball sports as his leisure pursuits.
