David Archer

David read law at the London School of Economics, qualified as a solicitor with Norton Rose in 1985 and worked with Baker & McKenzie, Australia, where he also qualified as a Solicitor and Barrister in New South Wales, Victoria and the Australia High Court before joining Clifford Chance in 1990. David joined Pitmans as a partner in 1992.
David is a Director of Pitmans Trustees Limited and also a specialist in commercial litigation and business recovery. He founded PTL in 1994 when at the time he was Head of Insolvency at Pitmans LLP and began taking appointments as Statutory Independent Trustee throughout the 1990s. David undertakes ongoing scheme appointments he also specialises in taking trustee appointments to problematic or distressed schemes; where the employer is insolvent or where there are complex re-financing or clearance issues.
