I started working for Pitmans Solicitors in 1979 and worked in various departments including Estates, WP and four years for Robin Aird. Then I went off to live in Turkey for 13 years working as a pre-school teacher for 10 years at the British International School, Istanbul for much of this time and, as a result, speak fluent Turkish. I then spent 8 months in Egypt taking it easy and trying to master some Arabic! In September 2005 I came back to the UK for a one month holiday and stayed here. As Pitmans didn’t have any available jobs at the time, I spent a few months working for Richards Gray, the Search Agents and finally returning to work as PA to James Burgess in July 2006. After James left the company, I worked as PA to David Archer. Feeling the need for a new challenge, I transferred to work for Pitmans Trustees Limited in February 2010 to assist Steve Carrodus and Gareth Beeching in relation to winding up the bulk NPI Schemes.

I took up Salsa in January 2006 and now dance both New York and Cuban Salsa. I’ve started Kizomba but its early days with this one! Someone recently said to me “I’ll bet you get through some heels” and I must say I do.
