A graduate of the University of Warwick, David trained and qualified as a pensions lawyer with Burges Salmon in Bristol from 1993. In 2001, he joined Pitmans as a senior solicitor and then, from 2002, as a Pensions Partner.
David is a pensions and employee benefits specialist advising employers, trustees and insolvency practitioners. He has particular experience in preparing plain English documentation and dealing with pension scheme restructuring including switching to DC, clearance applications to the Regulator, scheme mergers and scheme wind-ups. He has a special interest in investment issues and is a Director of Pitmans Trustees Limited, our Independent Trustee Company. He is married with two children and lives in Bristol. David enjoys travel, windsurfing and most ball sports as his leisure pursuits.
