Andy has extensive business consultancy and business development experience, much of which has been gained in the field of pensions. He has worked for leading organisations including Mercer, where he ran seminar programmes on occupational pensions and flexible benefits.
His role at PTL enables him to spend time doing what he does best; “finding out what people want and helping them to get it” which is often initiated through the training seminars that he organises and hosts. Andy specialises in helping DC schemes to deliver the results they were set up to achieve, and has a particular interest in heuristics and behavioural finance, believing that effective communication is key to making pensions work for all concerned.
Andy is an Accredited Associate of the International Institute for Independent Business.
He attends a local kick-boxing club on Sunday evenings “It’s just to try to keep the weight down really…pretty futile as I enjoy my food too much for it to be effective. I couldn’t fight my way out of a paper bag but it’s a great way to de-stress…the timing is perfect – home in time to shower and relax before watching Clarkson, May and that short chap my wife likes behave very foolishly with cars…and then the world is all fixed ready for the week ahead…”
